Do I have to register my domain name with you to use your service?
No. You can register your domain name with any one of the domain registars that are available on the net. We have no requirements to use our registration service.
How long does it take to set up a new account?
Orders will generally be processed by us as soon as they
are received and are usually set up within 1 hour. Some
accounts will need to be manually verified. This can delay
setup by 8 hours.
What kind of technical support do you offer?
We have provided four ways to receive technical support.
- Toll-Free Tech Support. Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific time.
- Online trouble tickets.
- Online FAQs and knowledge base.
- Our Member Support Pages.
Do you allow spamming, Opt-in e-mailing or bulk mailing?
No. We do not allow this under any circumstances. If it is brought to our attention that spamming has occurred, we will terminate the account immediately. It doesn't matter if you use our mail servers to spam or if you hire a company to do it for you. We charge a $100 account clean up fee for those accounts terminated for spamming.
Do you allow adult-orientated web sites?
No, WebIntellects does not allow the placement on our Webspace of any sexually explicit materials, whether they be in graphical, textual, video, sound, encrypted, protected, proprietary or any other formats. While we are committed to the protection of the free speech of our clients, we cannot permit sexually explicit material on our Webspace for many reasons. We object to the hosting of adult content for the logistical problems that it would entail, i.e. greatly fluctuating bandwidth, security problems and legal considerations. Adult sites can place unexpected and greatly varying demands upon the host's dedicated Web server thus jeopardizing the security of all other Virtual Web Server accounts hosted on that dedicated server. WebIntellects has also partnered with many companies which won't allow partners to host adult sites.
Do you accept international orders?
Yes. We have customers from all around the world using our web hosting services. If desired, we can host domain name extensions from any country. All international accounts must be paid for by credit card, money order, cashiers's check, PayPal or bank wire.
Can you host sites with country code extensions like .uk, .ar, .com.au?
Yes. We can host any domain name extension from any country.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept money orders, checks and credit cards (Visa,
Mastercard, American Express and Discover Card). All international
accounts must pay by credit card, money order, cashiers's
check, PayPal or bank wire. We do not accept international
checks. We can also accept wire transfers. Each transaction
will incur a $25.00 charge.
How does the billing process work?
If you choose a yearly payment plan, you will be charged
on your card, or sent an invoice on your account aniversary
date. If you choose monthly billing, it will be done by
periodic credit card deduction. Each month we will deduct
the agreed-upon sum for our services from the credit card
you choose. For some services you can request invoice
billing. Invoices will be sent by e-mail and are due upon

Is there a minimum contract?
No. We do not lock you into any long-term contract. You can pay month to month, or if you wish to save extra money, you can pay yearly. You will be able to cancel yearly accounts, however there are no prorated refunds.
What is your return policy?

Can we buy a lower priced plan now and upgrade anytime later?
Yes. You are free to upgrade plans any time you wish. If you buy a plan for a yearly rate and decide to upgrade later, you will only be billed the pro-rated difference in price. We do not charge Upgrade Fees.
Does WebIntellects offer a way to check mail online, from anywhere in the world?
Yes. All accounts come with free Webmail. It is this feature that allows you to check mail online. This is just like Hotmail or Yahoo mail, except with your domain.
Virtual Hosting FAQs
What is a Virtual Domain?
A Virtual Domain means having your own domain name (http://www.yourcompany.com) without having to install expensive server hardware and software. With a Virtual Domain, you utilize our server's storage space, however you are still professionally represented via your own personal Internet web address domain name (www.yourcompany.com) and by your own personal e-mail address domain name (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Can I design my site on a Windows PC and host it on a Linux server?
One of the biggest misconceptions is that you have to run Linux on your own computer in order for you to host your site on Linux platform. That is not true. Which operating system you run on your computer is irrelevant in making your decision. This means that if you are running Windows 98 or Windows XP on your computer for example, you can still choose Linux.
Will I be able to access my domain name with or without the www.?
Yes, you will be able to access the domain name with or without the www in front. For example, you could access your domain by going to "www.yourdomain.com" as well as "yourdomain.com".
What are the steps to get started with your service?
Yes. Our prices are for personal, family or commercial use. We do not charge anymore for a business site then one for personal use.
Do you support international domains?
Yes. We have clients from all around the world using our Web Hosting Service. We can configure our servers for a domain from any country. Our servers can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from around the world.You will need to transfer your name servers yourself if you own a international domain.
How do I check if my domain name is still available?
All our web pages have a "Domain Search" check. Type in the domain you want submit it.
Does WebIntellects handle domain name registrations?
Yes. Domain name registration pricing starts from $9.95
Can I register a domain name myself?
Absolutely. All our web pages have a "Search domain availability" check. If you do it yourself you can choose from one to ten year pricing terms for your domain. If you want to register it at another web site here is the information you will need:

Can I transfer an existing domain name to WebIntellects?
Yes. We can do this for you at no charge or you can do it. If you choose to do it you will need this information:

Every Registrar has a management feature where you can update the DNS or name servers. This is where this information goes.
Can I resell space within my package?
Yes. You can resell on any plans you choose.
Do your hosting plans come with a way for me to check mail online like Hotmail?
Yes. All web hosting plans come with free webmail access. This will allow you to check your mail form any computer in the world.
How often can I update my pages?
You are welcome to update your pages as often as you like. You can use telnet, SSH, FTP and our control panel 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if you like. We do not charge any additional fees for this.
Does WebIntellects offer Internet Access?
Yes. WebIntellects is a full Internet Solution Provider offering many different services.
What Linux platform do you run?
WebIntellects runs either Red Hat Linux Fedora or CentOS
with Apache web server and Plesk control panel software.
Do you provide SSH access or shell accounts?
Yes. We highly recommend that you use SSH over telnet
as it is more secure.
What is PHP?
PHP is a server-side, cross-platform, HTML embedded scripting language. It is a tool that lets you create dynamic web pages. PHP-enabled web pages are treated just like regular HTML pages and you can create and edit them the same way you normally create regular HTML pages. Simply put, it is ASPs for UNIX.
Do you offer free Applications or Scripts?
Yes. We currently offer over 30 free applications and
scripts with each hosting plan.
Can we use our own CGI scripts, programs, etc?
Yes. All accounts are set up to allow you to install your own scripts. There is no approval procedure and we have no problems with 99% of the scripts our clients use. However, if we find that you have chosen to install a large script that uses far too much processing power thereby jeopardising the service to our other clients, we may ask you to remove that script or we may suspend your site.
Do you support SSL (Secure Transactions)?
Yes. Our servers are set up with either Apache or Windows
SSL security enabled. All basic shared plans also come
with shared SSL access. We also offer low-cost dedicated
What is an E-mail autoresponder?
An autoresponder will automatically reply to any e-mail sent to a particular address.
For example, you may have an autoresponder for the address of email@example.com. Any email sent to this address will automatically be replied to by a robot (program). The robot will send back a preset message (that you set up and edit at any time). This is useful for creating "request more information" e-mail addresses.
What is a POP3 E-mail account?
A POP3 e-mail account is simply an e-mail box that you can connect to using a Username and Password. It is a "full" e-mail account similar to the ones that your ISP provide you. E-mail sent to your POP3 e-mail account resides within your "mailbox" on our mailserver until you download it with an e-mail software program. This e-mail address would not be redirected anywhere else. POP is the abbreviation for the term "Post Office Protocol".
What is an E-mail alias?
E-mail aliases allow you to set up an unlimited amount of email addresses using your POP account. By editing a simple text file, you can create literally firstname.lastname@example.org.
What do you mean by disk space?
Disk space refers to the amount of server disk storage your account is allocated. This space is used to store your html files, graphics, audio clips, log files and all other files that make up your web site. POP mail messages are also counted against your space. 99% of all web sites hosted on our servers never exceed 100 MBs of space.
Do you offer Cold Fusion support?
Yes, but you must host on the Windows Platinum Plan.
Do I need to transfer my domain registration service to host with WebIntellects?
No. You do not need to change your registration service to ours in order to host with us. You can keep your domain name registered with your current Registrar.
Do you support FrontPage Extensions?
If you use Microsoft FrontPage 98, 2000, 2002 and 2004 to publish pages to the Web, you will need FrontPage 98 or 2000 extensions supported. We support FrontPage Extensions free of charge.
What are the cost if I decide to upgrade plans later?
We do not charge any upgrade fees. If you are moving from a package that has no set-up fees to a package that includes set-up fees, you will need to pay those.
What can Electronic Commerce do for me?
Having a storefront on the web allows you to offer your products to anyone, anywhere, anytime. The Internet has revolutionized the whole concept of marketing and sales by eliminating the geographic and time-related barriers between the merchant and consumer. Now, without hiring a single new employee, you can receive and process orders from all over the world 24 hours a day.
What is a Web store or eStore?

Isn't my business too small for E-Commerce?

How do I accept orders?
Although most E-Commerce sites are probably set up with the expectation that the majority of orders will be received through the web, the reality is that many customers prefer to use the web to aid in the selection of a product and then to order by more traditional methods. You therefore need to ensure you are able to accept orders in as many different ways as possible:

What is a Payment Gateway?
A payment gateway essentially performs the same function
as your POS terminal, automatically. The gateway software
system takes the online payment information from your
Miva ordering form and sends this information to the financial
processor using your merchant account, and finally reports
back whether the transaction was approved. Online processing
or transaction providers offer this gateway. We use PayPal
Payment Servcies and payQuake.
Do I have to have an online processing company to do my credit card ordering?
No. There are two options for processing credit cards.
You can choose to have the server automatically send you
the credit card information for you to process yourself
on your credit card machine. This is known as "Simple
credit card validation". The other option is to use
PayPal Payment Servcies and payQuake so you can process
the charge online, automatically, in a much more secure
and quick manner.
Are there any other fees with PayPal Payment Servcies,
like transaction fees?
Yes. You get up to 1000 transactions per month for $39.95/mo. You will be billed $.10/transaction over 1000 in any given month.
What is a shopping cart?
A shopping cart is a program in a web site that allows a customer to view products and add them to a "basket" as they would in a physical retail store. The shopping cart is usually connected to a database of products, and helps the merchant with shipping, pricing and inventory calculations.
What is Miva Merchant?
Miva Merchant is a dynamic browser based storefront development and management system that allows merchants to create multiple online stores from anywhere in the world where there is internet access. Miva Merchant has a complete set of wizards to simplify the process of building your store. The browser based administration interface provides access to an array of more sophisticated tools to maintain your catalog. Up sell merchandising and order fulfillment are included. And Miva's modular architecture enables you with deep-down customization for your storefront.
Do I still need a Merchant Account with Miva Merchant?
Don't confuse the two - they are different. Miva Merchant gives you all the tools to easily process online orders through a number of third party vendors. If you plan on being able to accept credit cards, you will still need to establish a Merchant Account.
Can I take orders with Miva Merchant and not use credit cards?
Yes! You can have people place orders and process them after receiving payment by any other means you desire, such as by check, wire transfer, money order, etc.

Do I need to know HTML or programming to manage my Miva storefront?
No. Miva Merchant has a complete set of wizards to simplify the process of building your store. The browser based administration interface provides access to an array of more sophisticated tools to maintain your catalog.
Can I use the Miva License that I get with my E-Commerce Package with another hosting company?
No. Our special pricing for the packaged bundle of the Virtual Server and Miva cannot be separated. Likewise, the license works only in conjunction with our E-Commerce Hosting Packages.
What is a digital certificate?
Digital certificates provide the basis for secure electronic
transactions as they enable all participants in a transaction
to quickly and easily verify the identity of the other
participants. They are digitally signed and issued by
a Certificate Authority (CA) which verifies that the public
key attached to the certificate belongs to the party stated.
WebIntellects uses Comodo for its CA.
What is SSL?
Secure Socket Layers or SSL allows safe business transactions between the client and merchant. Before a customer orders online, they want to be sure that their personal and ordering details will only be seen by you. They want to be certain their payment information cannot be intercepted by outside sources. In order for you to accept and process credit cards and other private information over the Internet with full assurance of customer privacy, customer data can be encrypted and scrambled online via SSL. Before you set up your e-commerce system, make sure your web server has the SSL option. You need a digital certificate combined with SSL to do secure transactions.
I have bad credit. Can I still qualify for a Merchant Account?
Yes. payPal has a 99% approval rate. Your rates will
be higher, but you will be approved.
Can I change the look and feel of the Miva shopping cart?
Yes. Miva has numerous option to allow you to make the storefront look and feel like the rest of your website. You can choose to use the administration section to change the look or if you choose you can change the html and/or Miva script.
What do I need - Miva Merchant or Miva Order?
As a general rule, if you have 25 products or less and can place them all on one page, then Miva Order is a good solution. If you have numerous products and need to have them managed from several pages, you will need Miva Merchant. It is also important to remember that Miva Order does not have UPS shipping features.
Resellers & Affiliate Program FAQs
Who Bills My Clients?
They are your clients, you bill them. You receive one integrated bill from WebIntellects every month detailing your costs, which makes it easier for you to determine their billing rates. All reseller accounts must be placed on a monthly cycle.
Who Handles Tech Support for My Clients?
Our resellers handle all tech support matters pertaining to their clients. Obviously, matters which our resellers cannot handle, such as setting up FTP accounts, creating domain name support, setting up certain accounts, etc. will be carried out by WebIntellects' technicians, but only at your request. At no time will we deal with your clients directly. In general, you handle all first level support. We will handle the rest.
What if my clients find out I am reselling your services? What is to prevent them from moving to you?
By bundling WebIntellects' services with their own unique
services and personal attention, resellers can offer clients
a full spectrum of services. In addition, even though
the Internet is a worldwide market, most people prefer
to deal with someone who is local.
WebIntellects has set up all Reseller plans to be as anonymous
as it is possible on the Internet today. We offer unbranded
control panels and anonymous name servers to assist with
What if one of my clients breaks your "Terms and Conditions of Use Policy"?
You are responsible for all the actions of your clients. If one of your clients breaks the "Terms and Conditions of Use Policy", you are responsible for stopping their behavior. When we catch violators, we terminate that account.
Is there a fee to upgrade from one reseller package to the next?
No. There are no upgrade fees to move to a larger Reseller
plan. You will simply begin incurring the increased monthly
What are Anonymous Name Servers?
When someone does a Whois Database search for domain
names, listed under the domain names are the DNSs of that
domain name. If your customer did a search he/she could
see ns1/ns2.hostdns4u.com as a DNS. We created anonymous
DNS so when someone does a search it shows no web host,
only an anonymous listing. If you want your own name to
appear, instead of our anonymous name servers, we can
set you up with branded name servers.
What is the control panel like with Reseller Plans?
By default, Reseller Plans come with Plesk. You can also
choose Ensim or cPanel for your control panel needs.
Can anyone join your Reseller Program?
Yes, of course. You do not have to be a web host, web designer or any other type of business owner to sign up. In fact many of our resellers are personal users who simply out grew our standard Webmaster Plan.
Can we sell Windows and Linux hosting together as a reseller?
Yes. However you must purchase both a Linux Reseller
Plan and a Windows Reseller Plan. You can not buy just
one and offer both Windows and Linux hosting from it.
Can my reseller control panel be branded with my logo
for my clients sites?
Yes. You will be able to brand the control panel with your own logo simply by using the "Upload Logo" feature in your reseller control panel.
Who can participate in our Affiliate Program?
Anyone who has a non-incentive based website with "child-safe" content.
Does it cost anything?
No, it is absolutely FREE.
How does it work?
The Affiliate Program makes it easy for you to get credit for sales that come through your site. You place special trackable hyperlinks to the Webintellects.com site on your Web site. When someone follows those links and buys any service from the WebIntellects site, ClickXchange will record it. At the end of the quarter, if you have generated a sale and your commission is greater than $20, ClickXchange will send you a check. If your commission check is less than $20, we will hold it until next quarter.
Can I join if I have not launched my site yet?
No, we have to see your Web site in order to approve it for the WebIntellects Affiliate Program.
How is the WebIntellects Affiliate Program different from other affiliate programs?

to operate online, and all these services and products

How do I create links?
It's easy. To create trackable links to WebIntellects, just use the special tools that ClickXchange has created for making links to WebIntellects, called the tag generators. These tag generators are so easy to use; even beginners can create links in just seconds! Use the tag generator to create different types of links to WebIntellects to include banner links, button links, or just a simple text link.
How are orders tracked and credited to my site?
All links from your site to WebIntellects contain your site's unique source ID, so that every time a user comes to us via your links, we know to credit you when a purchase is made. Make sure that all links on your site are created using the ClickXchange tag generator tool in your affiliate control panel so that they are tracked correctly.
Do I get commission from all sales?
Yes, the tag-generated links will track your visitors wherever they go to our site. You will get commission on everything they purchase even if they surf around on our site for a while.
How much will I be paid?
The WebIntellects commission is based on a per sale basis.
For each service or product sold, you will receive $25.00.
When will I be paid?
You will be paid quarterly (January, April, July, October). If your commission for any quarter is less than $20, the total amount will be carried to the next quarter. The following calendar quarter, the commission and bonus payment will be made regardless of its amount.
WebIntellects will not approve any affiliate sales until the referral is older then 30 days. Due to the number of fraudulant affiliate sales, WebIntellects will approve a sale only after the service is past the 30-Day Money Back Guarantee period.
Virtual Private Server FAQs
What is a Virtual Private Server?
Virtual Private Servers are the most advanced step in
server virtualization technology. They are used to partition
a single physical server into many (as many as 1000) isolated
virtual private servers. Each virtual private server looks
and behaves exactly like a real networked server system,
complete with its own set of init scripts, users, processes,
What Applications could be run within the Virtual Private Server?
Most applications that require root level access can be installed within your Virtual Private Server without any modifications. Applications and services do not have to be aware of Virtuozzo as they will act as though they are being installed on a true dedicated server.
What does control panel does each VPS come with?
You will have your choice between Ensim, Plesk or cPanel.
You can also choose to not have any control panel installed
if you wish.
Which VPS enabling software do you run?
WebIntellects uses SW Soft's Virtuozzo software to power
our VPS offerings. Virtuozzo is the world's most popular
platform for Virtual Private Servers (VPS). It is the
only real VPS solution available, providing carrier-grade
levels of reliability and scalability, proven with tens

What happens when my VPS starts using too many resources?
If your usage grows to a point that your VPS begins to
slow or your services are not operating as fast as they
use to, then you have a few options. One, your can request
to have your VPS upgraded to the next plan up. This will
guarantee your VPS will receive more resources to operate
your sites and applications. You can also have your VPS
upgraded to a full dedicated server. This can be done
seemlessly without any downtime.
Will I have full root access?
Yes, you will have full root access to your VPS. You may install any software or applications on your virtual private server you choose. Root access is one of the greatest benefits of a virtual private server. Unlike many host who falsely advertise 'full' root access, WebIntellects VPSs are given true root access.
Can I host multiple domains with my VPS?
Each VPS is set up to host unlimited domains. The only thing limiting the number you can host is your space available and your resource use.
Is there a difference between a VDS and a VPS?
No. There is no difference between a Virtual Dedicated Server (VDS) and a Virtual Private Server (VPS.) Some hosting companies choose to call it a VDS and others like WebIntellects choose to call it a VPS.
Is my VPS managed by WebIntellects?
Yes. All VPSs are fully managed. WebIntellects will support
all security patch installs, all software upgrades and
any Ensim or Plesk control panel upgrades. If you choose
to use Ensim, cPanel or Plesk, WebIntellects will also
provide support issues for those control panels.
How many IPs are included with my VPS?
All VPSs come with 1 IP address by default. You can request
additional IPs at $1.00/mo/IP.
Can I host Adult Content & IRC on my VPS?
No. IRC is not allowed on our network and we do not allow adult content on VPS solutions. You will need a full dedicated to host adult content.
What is the difference between VPS Hosting and Shared/Virtual Hosting?
With shared/virtual hosting you share your space, resources, applications and environment with sometimes hundreds of other users. This configuration can allow any issues to a single site to affect the performance and security of anyone else on the same server. A VPS is divided into multiple isolated environments. Each VPS has it's own server software and provides autonomy for each website. Any issues to a site would only affect that VPS and not any other site(s) on the same server. As with a true dedicated server, each VPS has it's own independent operating system with it's own web server, mail server, and any installed software.
Can I run my own DNS on my VPS?
Yes. You will need to request two additional IP Addresses
and register those name servers with your Registrar.
Can I request to have Plesk Add-ons installed onto my VPS ?
Yes. We support all Plesk Add-ons with your VPS. This
includes the Tomcat JSP, Application Vault, Trouble Ticket,
PostGRES and SpamAssassin Add-ons. Additional fees may
How many databases can I have with my VPS?
You can have as many databases and connections you need.
It is your VPS which acts just like a true dedicated server.
Your database will be completely secure and can be managed
with PHP, SSH, and/or myPHPadmin. As your database grows
you can always increase your service plan to include more
Dedicated Server FAQs
How long will it take to get my server on line?
WebIntellects will keep a good inventory of most servers offered. However we do have a 3 - 5 business day setup time. Most servers are setup with 48 hours.
Will I have full root access(Super User Access) to my server?
You will have full root access to your server. You are welcome to install any software you wish. If you are uncomfortable with using root, simply administer your server from your own Ensim or Plesk control panel. The control panels have been designed to allow any inexperienced server owner to administer an entire server from a set of features designed for the server owner. Please note, any other software installed by you, besides what we have already installed and configured as part of the setup, is your own responsbility and not WebIntellects. We will not manage any personal customizations.
What does WebIntellects mean by managed?
WebIntellects includes the following managed services with each dedicated server:
- Free Ensim and Plesk control panel upgrades for the life of the server.
- 100% management and troubleshooting of Ensim and Plesk software.
- Instalation of RPMs, CPAN modules and service updates or patches.
- Instalation of all security patches or bug fixes.
- Kernel upgrades and kernel recompiles.
- Unlimited, 24/7 manual reboots.
- Free monitoring of one service with e-mail notification and instant WebIntellects intervention.
- All OS Upgrades.
PLEASE NOTE: WebIntellects will not support servers that have had personal customizations. If something requires our help to fix after failed customization attempts, we will charge $75.00/hr to correct the issue or restore the server.
Does WebIntellects monitor my server?
Yes. WebIntellects will provide free monitoring of one service with e-mail notification and instant WebIntellects intervention. We recommend that you choose either PING or httpd monitoring. Once that service is down, our monitors will show the alert and someone will correct the issue for you so you do not need to worry about downtime while you are away. We monitor all services and respond to alerts 24/7/365.
If you require us to monitor more services, we offer an
Advanced Monitoring Package for $10.00/mo. This will allow
you to select three more services. You can select from

All WebIntellects servers are tested before deployment. Should hareware fail, we will immediately repair or replace it at no cost to you. Additionally, downtime credit will be issued as warranted. All hardware replacements are done immediately.
What if I want to upgrade my server?
Upgrades that are available to be made on your server include hard drives and additional RAM. CPU and other hardware upgrades will need to be done by migrating to a new server. All OS upgrdes and control panel upgrades are handled by WebIntellects.
Can I host adult content or IRC Services?
While WebIntellects does allow adult hosting on its dedicated servers, we do not allow IRQ on our Network. Servers found running IRC will be shut down.
What control panel is included?
By default, servers come with either Ensim, cPanel or
Plesk. You can also request to have no control panel installed.
We will build it as you need it.
How is bandwidth measured?
Bandwidth is measured by polling the switch port for your server every 5 minutes to measure both the in and out bandwidth usage. WebIntellects bills by actual usage and NOT 95%. This provides you with more bandwidth for a cheaper price.
Are Setup Fees refundable?
Setup fee are not refundable. If you purchase a server and you decide to cancel, the setup fee will not be refundable. This is because each server is built based on your order. We do not pre-build servers. Once your order is submitted our Sysadmins begin building and testing your server for use.

Do you offer a way to hide my personal information from
others after I order?
Yes. All new orders come with free WHOIS Privacy. Once
the order is placed, please contact support to have them
turn this option on. This feature will hide all your personal
information from being viewed from the WHOIS Database.
Is it possible for another person to register my domain
name after I have registered it?
.com, .net, .org, .info and .biz domain name availability
is verified by WebIntellects and other domain name registrars
through the SRS (Shared Registration System), a universal
database of available .com, .net and .org domain names.

How long before my newly registered domain name is accessible on the Internet?
Domain names registered through WebIntellects may take up to 72 hours (normal Internet propagation time) until they are accessible on the Internet. If you are checking your domain name availability on WebIntellects' web site after you have completed the registration process for a domain name is typically generated and available online within a 24 - 72 hour time frame.
If I were to register my domain name, would you hold the rights to the name?
No! WebIntellects will only be the technical contact. You will have 100% ownership to include registrant, zone contact, admin contact and billing contact. We need to be your technical contact so we can assist in the management of your domain name should you need it.
Is it possible to hide or edit my Contact Information when someone does a WHOIS query on my domain name?
The Contact Information displayed in the WHOIS should
always be kept current. You can edit this information
to display whatever you would like (although you cannot
leave the fields blank). Please note that if you enter
invalid or false information you are in breach of contract
and it makes it very difficult to transfer host, change
DNS or manage your domain. WebIntellects does offer free
WHOIS Privacy with all domain name orders.
Why are the changes I made to my domain name still not appearing on the Internet?
Changes to domain name information are not instantly reflected and typically require standard propagation time (24 - 72 hours). DNS changes (which require updating information on file with the registry) may take up to 72 hours to be reflected on the Internet for domain names.
How do I change the DNS information to point to your servers?
We will request that you change the DNS (Domain Name Server) Information for your domain name so that we can manage and make necessary zone file modifications for your domain name. In the event that you are changing a web hosting company or Internet Service Provider, you will need to make the change using one of the following procedures outlined in the paragraphs below:
.com, .net and .org domain names registered prior to June 2, 1999
You will need to go to Network Solutions, Inc. at http://www.netsol.com/en_US/manage-it/ to change your information. You will need to change the DNS and Technical Contact to the following:
.com, Net and .org domain names registered through registrars after June 2, 1999
You will need to contact your Registrar and have them switch the DNS to what is listed above. If you do not remember who your registrar is, you can go to http://www.internic.net/whois.html and type in your domain name. The results will name your registrar.

I no longer want my domain name. Will you refund my money?
WebIntellects upholds a no-refund policy on all domain name registrations. This includes all domains names that you ordered which contained spelling errors. Once a domain name is purchased, you own it. So make sure it is one that you want and that it is spelled correctly.
Can I change my WebIntellects domain name username?
WebIntellects usernames, once established during the
initial domain name registration process, cannot be changed.
Usernames are the chief identifiers for individual accounts
within the Tucows system, and are associated with the
registrant of a domain name.
I forgot my username and password when I registered my domain name. What can I do?
We do not keep a record of this. We have no way of knowing what you used when you registered your domain name. That is why we stated to write it down when you registered your domain. If you forgot your username or password you will need to use the "Retrieve Username and Password" function from our website. Your username and password will then be sent to your e-mail address of record. If you no longer receive mail at that address or if you are no longer able to check mail there, then you will need to update your e-mail address. WebIntellects has no access to do this for security reasons. Chances are you will need to use this form:
You registered my domain name when I signed up. What is my username and password?
Your username and password is the same as your web hosting account default username and password. If you forgot this, you will need to contact us requesting this. We will then send it to the e-mail address on record in the Whois search. We CAN NOT send it to any other e-mail address.
I want to transfer web hosts. How do I transfer my domain?
To transfer your web site to another host you will need
to go to the Domain Registration homepage and click on
'Manage Domain". Login using your username and password.
Once in, you will need to change the DNS to reflect your
new host addresses. It takes 24 - 72 hours for InterNIC
to update the database.
I no longer have a valid e-mail address of record to receive e-mails from OpenSRS. What do I do now?
If you have an outdated e-mail address for the admin contact for your domain name, then WebIntellects is unable to send you your password or any other information about your account. You must first update this address. Here is what OpenSRS requires to be done:
"In order to get the password and username, you'll need to change the admin email contact. In order to change the admin email contact, we'll need to see proof of ownership. Please send a signed fax with photo i.d. stating that you as owner of the domain authorize/request the change of the admin email contact. Please factor in the new email address and the name of the domain(s). As a security measure the password will *only* be sent to the admin email contact.

How are .tv domain names priced?
All .tv domain names are classified as either Premium or Standard Domain Names. Premium names are generic "dictionary" words or phrases, such as news.tv, and 1- to 3- character combinations that carry an annual registration fee between US$1,000 and US$1.25 million. Standard names are all other .tv domain names for which customers currently pay US$45 for the first year annual registration fee.
Where did dotTV come from?
.tv is the top level domain indicator (like .edu or .org) assigned to the country of Tuvalu, a small Pacific Island nation. Through an agreement with Tuvalu, dotTV became the exclusive registry and registrar for names in the .tv domain. How many people can connect at one time using one account?
Only one person per dial-up account can be online at a time. It is possible to access the Internet from two or more separate computers with one account, just not at the same time.
Do I get my own web space with my account?
Yes. You get 1 GBs of space for your use. Your web site

Do you offer 1-(800) Dial Up Service?
No. We are currently working to add this to our service.
Do you have any advertisement windows or any other annoying pop-ups?
No. We don't have any pop-up windows or advertisements while you are surfing. You can use any browser and homepage you want with our service.
Can I use WebIntellects when I travel without incurring long distance charges?
It's possible if you're in any of the areas we serve. You just have to change the area code and prefix number that your modem dials. This is what we call free roaming.
If I want the internet access option with web hosting package pricing, do I get the web space and e-mail addresses?
No. You only get unlimited internet access. You will need to use your web hosting e-mail addresses and web space. You will get access to the newsgroup server and web mail.
Can I sign up for web hosting and add internet access later?
